Microsoft Announced Kin Smartphones

In the past, Microsoft has been selling its mobile operating system software to other companies so that it can be used in mobiles. Even in the case of Microsoft’s much hyper, Windows Phone 7 which will be used by other mobile companies. But today, Microsoft finally unveiled two smartphones known as Kin One and Kin Two.



The two phones will have a touch screen display and will be exclusively sold by Verizon Wireless in the US and made by Sharp Corp. The new Kin phones come with heavy social bookmarking features especially designed for those who use social networking lovers.
Music player in the Kin phones is based on Zune’s software which will also be used in the upcoming Windows Phone 7 based smartphones. Other than that, the phones will have Microsoft homescreen or they call it “Loop” which will be the user’s social networking feeds. The phones are equipped with many exciting features such as multiple finger gestures, the same as multi-touch in Apple iPhone. Both phones have QWERTY keyboards, Wi-Fi and cameras which can take high resolution pictures. It has been revealed that Kin One will have a 5mp camera while Kin Two is equipped with a 8mp camera. Surprisingly, the phones do not have any memory card slot. It uploads the data to Kin online storage service in order to save space.
Right now, there is no news about the pricing of the phones but from what we know so far, it will be cheap and not as expensive as other smartphones that are already in the market. Let’s see what Verizon and Microsoft has planned about the pricing of the smartphones.
