iPhone 4 Jailbroken Already !

Yes you read that right! iPhone 4 has been successfully jailbroken only within a few days of launch! It looks like the “userland” jailbreak vulnerability which was used by Spirit jailbreak tool was not all that properly patched by Apple, and hence @planetbeing (of Android port for iPhone fame) and @chpwn has managed to get root access on the device using code of @comex’s userland jailbreak method. @Planetbeing posted about this news on his Twitter account.

Spirit Jailbreak Fix for iTunes 9.2 on iOS 3.1.3 for iPhone and iOS 3.2 for iPad

The best and the most easiest jailbreak tool has just been updated (unofficially?) to bring support for iTunes 9.2. Earlier when Apple released the final version of iTunes 9.2, it broke the compatibility with Spirit and so this new version brings the required fix to make it compatible with iTunes 9.2. However no new feature has been added. It still does not work with iOS 4 and iPhone 4. Only iOS 3.1.3 and 3.1.2 for iPhone 3GS, 3G, 2G, iPod touch, and iOS 3.2 for iPad is supported.

Nokia N9 Leaked Into the Wild

Nokia has stayed as the front runner in the smart phone market with its N-xx series of smart phones. The N-9x series has been the companies’ flagship line of high-end smart phones which feature high-tech specs, shiny devices and lots of digits on the price tag. Word is out about Nokia’s newest QWERTY keyboard enabled smart phone.

Pre-Order Droid X at Best Buy

Motorola’s flagship smart phone, the Droid X is now available for pre-ordering at Best Buy stores. The Android running smart phone will be available for sale July 15, 2010 but users can get a nick of satisfaction by pre-ordering it at Best Buy. The best part about the pre-order deal is that users have to pay nothing in while pre-ordering and are guaranteed to receive their smart phone once it is made available (unlike the iPhone 4, where several users had their pre-orders canceled).
