Sony PlayStation Portable 2, Codenamed NGP

Yes, you see it right! That is Sony’s next-generation PlayStation Portable, codenamed as NGP.


This new hand-held gaming device will revolve around five key concepts: Revolutionary User Interface, Social Connectivity, Location-based Entertainment, Converging Real and Virtual Reality. Rumours had that Sony will be unveiling the new PSP sometime soon, but they finally did it today in Japan.

It's Official, Microsoft Likes Open Source Web Content Management



Ok, so maybe you still don't believe it, but Microsoft has really warmed up to open source — especially when it comes to web content management. Not only have they officially launched WebMatrix, a website development and deployment tool, but they have also announced the first official version of Orchard, a .NET open source web content management system.

What's Coming In Open Source CMS In 2011

Normally in this space we look back over the current month and forward into the next month, keeping you up to date with the open source CMS and other related projects that might interest you. Like last year, we're taking a look back at 2010 and into 2011 for some extra insights into what's to come, but this time around we used a small survey to see what's in the hearts and minds of open source project leaders.

Joomla! 1.6: Multi-lingual Capabilities, New Access Control System


Apparently, January is the season for open source CMS goodies. The first week of the new year brought a major release by one market leader, and the treats aren’t slowing down in week two —the team at Joomla! (news, site) has announced the availability of version 1.6 of their Web CMS platform.

Android 3.0 Honeycomb for Tablets Announced

Android 3.0 (Honeycom) for tablets was unveiled today by Google with the official announcement of Motorola Xoom – the first Honeycomb-based tablet.

It was announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas today. Google also released a preview video of Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

Nexus S Hands-On Photos


Google launched the Nexus S last month which is the first phone to have Gingerbread (Android 2.3) on it.
