Microsoft: iPhone 4 = Windows Vista [Yay or Nay?]

There is no question about Windows Vista being a PR failure for Microsoft. But so is iPhone 4 turning out to be one for Apple. Speaking at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference, the Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft Kevin Turner called iPhone 4 a Windows Vista of Apple. “It looks like the iPhone 4 might be their Vista, and I’m okay with that.”, said Turner in his keynote address on Windows Phone 7 at Microsoft WPC. Google Releases OpenSpot for Android to Find Empty Parking Spot

Who thought bots would be guiding us where to find a place for Parking? Guess what, Google is here to serve the cause. Today Google released a new app for their Android operating system titled Open Spot. This app would let users find a vacant spot for parking by marking any nearby spot so other users can see and approach it. This is similar to the you-help-me-i-help-you system, in which users parking the car will indicate on their app all the nearby vacant parking spots which will be seen by other users using the same app and present in the area to get a chance to park their vehicles at the marked spot.

China Renewed Google’s Internet Content Provider (ICP) License

The Chinese government doesn’t like Google. This is why China’s internet is barred from everything which is Google. China is probably the only place on earth where Google is struggling to do well. Recently however, there was good news for Google that despite their grievances, the Chinese internet regulatory authority has renewed Google’s license (as an Internet Content Provider (ICP)) which will allow the search giant to continue its operation in China as a search engine.

Microsoft Releases Internet Explorer 9 Platform Preview 2 for Developers

Cisco Introduces Android Based Tablets for Enterprises

Cisco, a popular multinational corporation that designs and sells consumer electronics and focuses on networking devices has decided to take a swim into the great ocean of tablet electronic devices. In an official press release today, Cisco Systems announced that they’ll be joining a vast majority of companies worldwide who develop and sell tablets. The new tablet named “Cisco Cius” is slated for an early 2011 release and will feature Google’s Android operating system.
